Projektiyhdistys ry – The Project Management Association Finland is a national organization, founded in 1978, which promotes interaction, project oriented thinking and the exchange and development of project-based knowledge, between professionals in any field of project management. It is also an active partner in the international project management community.

The association develops the members’ project based knowledge, as well as the productivity and competitiveness of corporate and community projects. The members of project management associations value most the transmission of information, workgroups, development projects, project management forums, conferences and certification. The association works as a promoter and an intermediary of good project practices and experiences.

The annual publication of the association, Project Perspectives, is distributed to over 50,000 project management professionals. The members in Finland will also get the issues of Projektitoiminta-magazine, the electronic newsletters and web services. The association organizes an annual event, Projektipäivät, in November and offers  IPMA’s 4-level certification for project professionals at all levels.

The academic advisory board includes professionals from universities, institutes of higher education and research facilities.

In March 2010 there were more than 150 corporate members and altogether 2 634 persons as members.

PRY’s intentions are:

  • To promote project based working solutions in different areas of the society and business.
  • To improve the competitiveness and goal orientation of private and public sector members.
  • To develop the individual members’ project based knowledge.

Apart from the information provided on this website, the association also hands out scholarships and the Prize for Project of the Year.
