University of Oulu wins the Project management championship 2016 in Finland
Winner of PMC 2016 is University of Oulu, second place to Laurea University of Applied Sciences and third Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences.
Competition pitted teams to solve a difficult case provided by our sponsor Ramboll. Teams were required to plan a communication between teams working at multiple sites, managing stakeholders and planning the efficient use of available resources within time constraints.This year there were amazing 79 teams taking part in the qualification round, which uses the same tool that is used in official IPMA certification tests.

As a reward for becoming the Finnish champions in project management the team gets to participate in International finals during June 2017 in Croatia. They also get a free opportunity to take part in IPMA Level D -certification.
Second in the competition was a team from Laurea University of Applied Sciences and third Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences.
The jury commented that even though the case was exceedingly difficult, especially without prior experience in resource planning all the teams did an excellent job during the day and deciding the victor was a tremendous task in itself.
