The board of IPMA Young Crew Finland has elected Tero Mäkilä as its new chair. He works at Vastuu Group and brings with him new perspectives on developing operations and a strong passion for building the activities of young project professionals.

Young Crew:n hallitus ja projektipäälliköt virkistäytyivät keväällä keilauksen merkeissä. Tuleva puheenjohtaja Tero Mäkilä takarivissä toinen vasemmalta.
Tero Mäkilä succeeds Jonna Vuorenpää, who has led the Young Crew network for the past spring. The youth network’s activities have begun to stabilize thanks to an active team after a quieter couple of years due to the Covid- pandemic.
“I believe that young project professionals have an important role to play as future leaders. I accept this role with great honor and respect for my predecessors. My goal is to develop Young Crew into an even more effective platform for growth, networking, and international interaction,” says Tero Mäkilä.
IPMA Young Crew Finland is part of the international IPMA Young Crew network, which offers young and early-career project professionals opportunities to develop, network, and participate in industry events and competitions. The Finnish Young Crew network operates under the the Finnish Association of Project Professionals (PRY).
“It’s great to have fresh perspectives and enthusiasm at the helm of Young Crew Finland. Investing in young project professionals is extremely important for the future of the entire field. Tero brings valuable experience and fresh ideas to the development of our activities,” says Anna-Maria Mäkelä, CEO of Projektiammattilaiset ry.
Tero Mäkilä will take up the role of chair on August 1, 2025.
