Lots of AI -talk, BUT…

Does anyone here know, which competences a Project Manager needs in times of AI?

AI is suddenly everywhere. Consultancy, keynotes, leadership offsites, LinkedIn, internal AI-pilots, etc. Everyone talks about AI. But when you ask a practical question, the room often goes quiet: Does anyone actually know, which competences a Project Manager needs in times of AI?

Many project professionals experiment with AI tools, but often do so on their own, intuitively and unsystematically. The result is predictable: fragmented use cases, unclear accountability, and “impressive looking” results that still do not improve delivery. What’s missing now is not excitement but a disciplined approach, clear objectives and shared understanding of the necessary competence. How much of the traditional competences do project managers need if AI takes over most of the project tasks in near future?  Which are the new competences that will be essential in future (on top of the rather basic ICB 4 competences)?

Our webinar will zoom in on the competence shift that AI is driving in project management: from doing tasks manually to governing a socio-technical system where people and intelligent tools jointly shape better decisions, clearer communication, and accountable management. We’ll explore the key human capabilities that make AI use powerful rather than risky: Stronger judgment (knowing when to trust AI and when to challenge), Clearer direction to avoid “just polished generic” results, and Hybrid leadership that sets norms, transparency, and accountability for AI use.

AI is already in your projects, whether you realize it or not. This session will help you better understand the key areas of competence and expertise needed to benefit from AI, identify real skill gaps, and start building the capabilities that will turn AI talk into performance in your organization.
