
Sustainability principles have become increasingly important for businesses. Sustainable project management (SPM) has emerged as a prominent trend in the industry. Demand for young project managers to be familiar and aligned with sustainability trends. The purpose was to explore the adoption of SPM from the perspective of young project professionals.

Dr. Lana Lovrenčić Butković
Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Zagreb, Croatia
Lana Lovrenčić Butković is an associate professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Zagreb. She teaches courses in management, strategic management, and investment management at graduate, specialist, and doctorate levels. She is a co-lead of interdisciplinary university speciality program MBA in Construction. Lana is involved in scientific projects in the fields of construction management, sustainable project management, and circular economy, as well as professional work in the areas of investment study preparation, CBA analyses, strategic management consultancy services, and the implementation of ESG strategies. She is a member of IPMA’s SIG ESG team, as well as several other professional and social associations.
Dr. Kristijan Robert Prebanić
Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Zagreb, Croatia
From 2016 Kristijan is working at the Faculty of Civil Engineering University of Zagreb where he obtained his Phd (in 2022) in topic related to Stakeholder engagement impact on the success of the infrastructure projects. He is currenty working as a postdoc researcher at the Department for Organization, Technology and Management. He teaches Construction management and Project Management courses at the undergraduate and master study and he published 14 scientific and professional papers as co-author. He also works as a PM/CM consultant/expert and in this capacity he participated in several scientific and professional projects from Construction and Oil and Gas industry. He is a member of the IPMA from 2015 and currently serves as a member of the Young Crew Management Board (YCMB) for IPMA (Global) Young Crew.
Sara Bossi

ESG professional guiding multinational corporations in their sustainability and decarbonization efforts. With a background in political and social sciences and project management, Sara is currently pursuing a PhD in Management Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. She is dedicated to advancing sustainable and transparent practices in for-profit companies.
